Managers are responsible to take care of the administration of the hockey team which helps the coaches and trainers focus on the development and well-being of the athletes. They are usually organized and well-structured individuals who understand the basic management of a budget and the organization of team level events. While they work in partnership with the coach to support the needs of the team, the managers are also the point of contact for all communications that would need to pass from the coaching staff to the parents and they also act as the voice of the parents within the teams' coaching staff.
Managers must be a minimum of 19 years of age and must be at least two years older than the division age limit for which they are the team Manager. This volunteer must have a minimum of Respect in Sport, or Speak Out/PRS Certification and provide a current police background check.
