Skating Programs

The CAL offers Learn-to-Skate, Novice/Atom Powerskating, Peewee Plus Powerskating and Great Strides for Late Beginners.

Learn-to-Skate teaches basic skating skills in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Skaters must be at least 5 years of age.

Powerskating classes teach upgraded skating technique for hockey players in a high tempo program. The first class is for novice and atom players, the second is for peewee, bantam and midget players.

Great Strides is a rare opportunity for players who have come to hockey a little later than most to get expert instruction on skating and other hockey skills. The program has been successful in helping its players catch up to their age division friends.

Skating program details are listed below

Registration is ‘first come first served’ and may close early if programs are full.

Programs are SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION if there are not enough registrants to complete the program requirements.

All skating programs must be paid for in full, at the time of registration. Registrations without payment in full, are not considered for the first come first served eligibility, and may be bumped to accommodate spaces.
