CAL Salutes the 2009 inductees to the Kingston & District Sports Hall of Fame: Sean Reade (football), Aldo Popazzi (soccer), Tom Mastantuono (wrestling) and CAL supporters Mary Skeggs, Len Coyle and Bill Fitsell.
Mary Skeggs was recognised for her excellence in hockey, softball and curling. She remembers her start playing with the boys in City Park and in the CAL. Her brother, Jim, coached hockey for St. Joseph's.
Len Coyle is the long-time scorekeeper for the Queen's Footbal Gaels and has been the trainer for the Kingston Frontenacs, Jr. Canadians and Raiders OHL teams since 1973. He and Freda have aslo been enthusiastic supporters of the CAL, especially when they are cheering for their grandson at Harold Harvey.
Bill Fitsell knows hockey. He is a noted hockey historian and author. Bill appreciates how the CAL promotes the true values of sport in our youth hockey program.
