Each year the CAL holds OMHA clinics to train and certify coaches and coaching staff.
In all Clinics, space is limited, and enrollment is determined on a first come, first served basis. Pre-registration is required and full payment at the time of registration is required.
Clinics are also open to other clubs, coaches and coaching staff within the OMHA. All coaching clinics are sanctioned by the OMHA and provide the required accreditation.
OMHA Standard Expiry Date:
August 31st every 3 years – All new coaches can take clinics in the spring or fall where offered. All coaching staff who require renewal of their August 31 expiration date MUST TAKE AN OMHA Refresher Clinic IN SPRING, prior to the upcoming FALL season in order to have their Certification Renewed.
Coach Certification Expiry:
OMHA NCCP Coach Level, Coach Stream, Development I & Development 2 certification is valid for three seasons, including the season of issue. The Coach must attend a Coach Refresher clinic in the spring after the 3rd season. Go to www.omha.net for clinic information.
Trainer Refresher Clinic:
HTCP Level I Refresher Clinic: 4 hour refresher clinic for current Level I Trainers, held in spring, you must renew in the year your current certification is set to expire.
HTCP Level II Upgrade: A current Level 1 certified trainer can upgrade to Level II by submitting Standard First Aid certification from a recognized first aid provider group, to the OMHA.
Speak Out or PRS Prevention Services Certification:
PRS is required by all volunteers. PRS IS NOW A STAND-ALONE MODULE, and is not included in the Coach Stream, CHIP or Trainers Clinics. Clinics can be found at www.omha.net
